If it is 7pm in the Central Timezone, there is only one timezone where it is 8pm: The reason, I believe, that the Central time zone has its prime time starting at 7 while the Eastern starts at 8 is from when broadcasts predated cable television. Simpler, more convenient, and more correct to say Eastern Time and Central Time.
Want to add to the discussion? If the west coast has access to its own feed, it'll probably show the shows at their own local time, so it'd be 8 p.
