The way it works is you have one hot wire and 3 switch wires one for each LED color , when you press the button to change colors 0-7 and 0 is off iit will go through each color individually and then it will combine the colors to get 7 colors.
Looking once again at the change from red to magenta, if the blue LED starts mainly turned off, goes to being on and off in even amounts and then to mainly being on then the the colour will change as required. Solder the 9 V battery connector where the battery is shown, with the negative black wire to pin 1 and the positive red wire to pin 8.
Then connect your Arduino to your computer. Hope that helps!

I have an existing color changing led which cycles in 7 seconds. Ok so the reason the 5mm res and the blue LEDs wont glow simultaneously, I've had the same issue. Your posts are always teaching me something. Rhyen- are you talking about thr 4 pin version?.. Circuit board 9.

Lets try it with pin 8 and not use PWM. Results 1 to 10 of 10.
All of that is done with-in the switch so you don't have to worry about all the extra wiring that would normally be required. You are all most done. No idea why this worked but it did: DakLak shaddaz Reply 2 years ago.
