Nolanism Randi0773 Reply 1 year ago. We had started with one which has produced a pineapple every year. But it is a waste and you should avoid overwatering. My plant is putting out leaves from the center however the old leaves are brown and look dead.

Should I trim off brown end on every leaf? Six years planted pineapple. The other 2 pineapples are quite a bit smaller. After a pineapple is picked, that part of the plant doesn't grow another pineapple but it will produce a "sucker" or "pup" and these will grow another pineapple.
